Contemplative   Worship Online

Contemplative Worship Service

in the Taize Tradition

This is my first attempt to create online services for Contemplative Worship;  15 or 20-minute services with Taize sung prayer by the London Fox Taize Choir, Scripture readings from the Old and New Testament and the book of Common Prayer, and prayers from the Iona Community's Quiet Services. I pray that in this time of social isolation and online church services that these resources will offer their permission to share the beauty of their sound and words.

My hope for the church is to provide Simplified Liturgies for Contemplative Worship, so that those who gather, whether in person or virtually, may experience a deeper union with Christ.

Blessings to all,

You are welcome to share my YouTube video links for

Contemplative Worship Services (each one under 20 minutes!) at,

Sandy, I listened to one of your videos and I sent it to a friend who is isolated in the country. Please see how much it meant to her. Thank you, Best wishes, David

From David's friend...

Dear David,

Thank you so much. I found [the contemplative service] very calming and very much liked the use of Taize music. And the fact that the readings were short and very apt. In fact, I liked it so much that I might listen to it again or indeed listen to others from the link.

Link to my poems, "Paradise Within"

"Sandy, Thank you this is beautiful.

I felt my self take a deep breath and relax after the first few poems.

What a gift. I love that you posted this on youtube.

It is so wonderful to hear the poet say her own words."
